I’ve had several class projects that include developing and integrating software into ground-based telescopes at the Sommers-Bausch Observatory. One objective was to track the orbit of Near-Earth Object “Penelope,” enabling light curve analysis with up to 98% accuracy over its rotational period.

Outside of school, I was able to apply my computer science knowledge and create a program to catalogue drink orders at a yacht club I worked at over the summer. We had recently promoted two servers to bartend so I created a simple python program that allowed them to input drink orders and receive instructions on how to make it, as well as keep track of ingredients and send out alerts when a restock is necessary.

My peers and I worked with my professors to create an advanced simulation of a Type 1a supernova to track the difference a change in rate of mass transfer can cause. Prior to starting the project, I had very little experience with any of the tools I would have to use. They include: MESA packages in python, LINUX, Github, Mathematical modeling and display, and MatLab. After the project, I was tasked with teaching these new tools to students the following semester during office hours, showcasing the extent of familiarity I gained after one semester.

As Vice President, I managed the allocation of a $250,000 annual budget for my fraternity, prioritizing expenses to balance operational, social, and philanthropic initiatives.

I bring a wealth of leadership experience, serving as VP of my fraternity, Lead Volunteer at a sleep-away camp, and Head Captain of the Burnham Yacht Fleet. I also founded and ran a successful summer camp business, showcasing my ability to lead, organize, and inspire teams in diverse settings.
