👋 Hey! Michael here, I started Intro Video.

I'm just a few months into this project, but I have a clear vision.

I’m looking for 1-3 key partners to thoughtfully bring it to life.

Why it Works

I find it insane that job seekers are still relying on a Resume and Cover Letter to tell their story when applying for a job.

Static PDFs, LinkedIn DMs, and emails are dehumanizing.

Intro Video allows a job seeker break through the noise in a crowded job market and make a human connection, without having to schedule an interview. 

Background

I’ve been indirectly developing the Intro Video for about a year.

I used Intro Videos to land my last full-time job as well as my largest paying freelance project.

It’s worked for me, and I’m seeing it work for others.

Project Status

Creating an Intro Video is not a trivial task—it’s taking creators about 6 hours to do so right now.

I’m working hard to create a frictionless process to cut down the effort required to create an Intro Video by combining existing tools — Squarespace, Calendly, Loom, and TLDRAW.

Next

Next, I’d like to build an integrated web experience that combines the functionality of the above tools.

I’m referring to this integrated web experience as IV MVP.

My Background

I’ve been involved in the Photo/Video space for 10 years now, having worked at Red Bull, GoPro, and most relevantly Adobe, where I spent four years as a Product manager leading design and engineering teams to build Premiere Rush, a cross-platform beginner video editing app. Here’s my Linkedin.

I’m looking for a few key partners to help build IV MVP - an integrated web experience designed to help Intro Video creators make webpages and record videos with ease. I want it to be a beautiful product that empowers millions of job seekers.

I haven’t raised money, and I don’t plan to. This project isn’t about chasing VC returns. I want to build with intention, keeping job seekers at the heart of every decision and prioritizing long-term impact over short-term growth.

  • I’m looking for a highly motivated early-career professional to help with webpage creation and operational execution at Intro Video. This role is perfect for someone who is eager to work hard, learn fast, and grow alongside me.

    You’ll gain hands-on experience in:

    • Webpage creation using Squarespace (then Framer)

    • Automation & workflows with Google Sheets, Zapier, and other no-code tools

    • User experience & design by working closely with me and eventually our Founding Designer

    • Product development & iteration as we refine the Intro Video experience

    This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to break into tech, startups, design, or product roles and isn’t afraid to dive into real work. You’ll expand your network while learning a ton!

  • I have a deep love for UX/UI design, having worked alongside a handful of world-class designers.

    I am a decent designer myself. I’ve been creating photo/video for my whole life. I built introvideo.com on Squarespace and am now learning Framer to uplevel Intro Video webpages and build automation via the Google Sheets Plugin.

    I would take design at Intro Video to the next level by partnering with a founding designer.

    In the short term, this person would uplevel the Intro Video homepage, as well as the design for job seekers' Intro Video webpages.

    In the medium term, this person own UX/UI design for the IV MVP, working alongside the Founding Web Developer.

  • The Founding Web Developer would build the IV MVP—a web experience that empowers Intro Video Creators to create their personal webpage and record their Intro Video in a browser with ease!

    You’d know better than I, but I believe this would be done with the least effort by utilizing the Loom SDK and TLDRAW SDK to enable in-browser video recording. 

    Perhaps we could use the Calendly API for scheduling, or maybe just build the functionality in-house. 

    Then finally, Framer, Webflow, or WordPress could be used to automate the webpage creation.

  • To grow Intro Video, I will be experimenting with a variety of marketing tactics—building in public, cold outreach on LinkedIn, and staying active in job seeker community groups.

    I would love to partner with a seasoned marketer, perhaps with a background in hiring/recruiting, who could help tell the world about Intro Video.

    This role is the least pressing, as I’d love to build the IV MVP before investing heavily into marketing.
